Back from the Dead...

Wow, I haven't been on here in MONTHS. Since December I'd been busy trying to survive the last few weeks of school, then I got a vicious case of tendonitis in my left arm, with some carpal tunnel and a pinched nerve in my neck for good measure, all of which has taken the past 3 months of EXTREMELY PAINFUL physiotherapy and about 3 tons of ice and heat packs to get things under control.

NO MORE 18 HOUR PHOTOSHOP MARATHONS WITH NO BREAKS!

So for those of you who are interested I have some good news for once. I applied for a couple of arts grants and it looks like I might be getting one of them before the end of the summer!

The project is to do a modern tribute to Salvador Dali by recreating/updating some of his most famous (And not so famous) works using digital photography with live models, real-world objects and of course, Photoshop.

Thank you so much for the words on "Human DK".
I definetely like your style. Excellent work.

For that one I didn't work with so many layers. If I remember well it was just around 30 or so. I've used more than 100 in some pieces (which can be quite confusing). I don't use "blend" mode. Normally I do it all with the common rubber and play with transparency levels. Ah me!! I could save a lot of work, I think. But it's all for the pleasure of it.
